Maria Sharapova defeats Agnieszka Radwanska for a 13th time!

All the pre-match talk was about Maria Sharapova. She leads the head to head 12-2 against Radwanska, she hasn’t won a match in over 100 days and has rarely played since Wimbledon however

Sharapova may have lost the first point of the match but she did get the first hold of serve to take a 1-0 lead at the beginning of the match. Despite leading 40-15 on serve another easy hold looked like following for the Russian but Aga stuck in there and after just over 9 minutes, a couple of deuces and double faults the third seed held for a 2-1 lead. It took just until the fourth game of the match until we saw some of the incredible trickery from Radwanska as she held serve for 2-2 but had to save break points on her way to levelling the set.
